Got back in to town last night.
My mom sent me home with fifteen pounds of clothes and accessories and gifts, no joke.
I had fun and the weather wasn't unbearable and then I got off the plane and to the baggage claim where Steve had already retrieved my (our) suitcase and gave me lots of hugs and kisses and smiles.
Good trip overall! My mom even bought me two pounds of crawfish. :9
I found it amusing that the only thing we watched on TV that got my mom, dad, AND younger brother into the living room was Resident Evil: Afterlife.

Fool was a good, quick read. I also plowed through it so I could be done before leaving town tonight to visit my parents and be able to hand it over to Steve so he can read it.
If I can read two more books by the end of this month, I'll be up to a two books per month average, which (if I can keep it up) would look less sorry at the end of the year than how the list is currently looking.

The only worthwhile story in that last book was the one about Zuckuss and 4-LOM. So much subpar writing and boring plots.
I'm not doing too well on my book reading this year.

A while ago, I made two more one-skein scarves, and three custom scarves that friends paid me to make for them.
( Pictures are here! )
Unfortunately I seem to have lost the slip of paper I wrote the custom scarves' measurements on. If I happen to find it, I'll post the measurements. They're all longer and wider than the one-skeins.
I also have one more scarf that I'm finishing. It's really lovely, and really long!

I need to give serious thought as to what I want to do with this thing. Maybe just make it an arts and crafts journal? Or just shut it down completely; make it all private and tuck it away as if it was a diary in the bottom of a drawer and leave it at that, and maybe move elsewhere to make an arts and crafts blog. I don't know.
