ROAST BEEF
1/2 SLICED WHITE ONION
1 CLOVE CHOPPED GARLIC
YELLOW MUSTARD
LEMON JUICE
SALT-FREE ALL-PURPOSE SEASONING
2 PACKETS PAPA JOHN'S SPECIAL SEASONING
SOME RED PEPPER
BLACK PEPPER
PUT MUSTARD AND SPICES ON BOTH SIDES OF THE MEAT, I MEAN, RUB IT ON THERE REAL GOOD.
GET A CONTAINER BIG ENOUGH TO HOLD THE MEAT. ADD WATER AND A COUPLE SQUIRTS OF LEMON JUICE. PUT THE MEAT IN THERE WITH THE ONIONS AND GARLIC. LET IT SIT IN THE FRIDGE ALL NIGHT. GO TO BED.
WAKE UP!!! REMEMBER THAT MEAT? DUMP ALL THE CONTENTS OF THE CONTAINER INTO THE CROCK POT. SET THE CROCK POT ON LOW AND COOK FOR HOURS AND HOURS (8, 10, WHATEVS).
TAKE THE MEAT OUT, PUT ON A BOARD OR PLATTER OR WHATEVER.
SCOOP THE ONIONS OUT, TOO. THEY'RE GOOD AS WELL.
EAT!!!!
It's pretty tasty. You'll have a lot of yummy broth left over, too. We dumped it out, but maybe next time I'll have stew ingredients on hand and make a stew with it for the next night's meal. It's a bit spicy and tangy, but would be pretty hearty. And then you could probably make shepherd's pie with the leftovers.

WE'VE GOT WORK AGAIN!!
We got a ton of new cases this week so far, hooray!! I was busy all day Monday, all day Tuesday, and all day today. More than all day today, actually, since I clocked in at 6:53am and clocked out at 5pm. Awesome.
I saw Caroline at Curves today, yay!!
I made delicious dinner tonight, yay!! Well actually I just cooked the chicken; the corn and the mashed potatoes were heat-n-serve.
I have a roast marinating in the fridge and it will go in the crock pot tomorrow with onions and garlic. If it is good, I will tell you what I used. If it is not good, you will probably not hear anything more about it.
Um. So, yeah.

It was a another good night at the bar last night.
Live music makes it so much fun.
Some guy bought everyone a shot of something (Steve said he thought it might've been Jack Daniels) to toast the musician at the end. I totally didn't need that but you don't turn down free booze. I gargled with cider to get the taste out of my mouth, gah.
Twinkies afterward, and then a drunk text to
naught, who then called and was therefore subjected to my drunken rambling for ten minutes. I've known him online for about fourteen years and that was the first time we've ever talked on the phone.
I think I tried to chew on Steve a few times throughout the night.
I remember waking up, sprawled out on the bed, and most of what happened just prior to being passed out for an hour or so.
Quite dehydrated. Took my contacts out and all that, got into bed and stared at the ceiling. Steve fell asleep before I did. I wondered if I'd be sick before I managed to fall asleep. No. I did eventually wake up and got rid of the contents of my stomach, and felt much better afterward. Back to bed, up around noon after trying to rouse Steve a couple times.
Chocolate milk and some computer time, called Mom to wish her and Dad a happy anniversary (it being on Flag Day makes it easy for me to remember), got Steve to wake up.
Showered, went to Walgreens to pick up a few items (a bunch of the makeup was on sale, thankfully; I hate paying ten bucks for a little thing of concealer), came back home for a cheese sandwich and a Pepsi ("made with real sugar!") and now here I am, probably about to scan a few of the drunkendoodles I did.
I have commissions to work on, too.
Hey so who's listened to the new Marilyn Manson album? Four Rusted Horses is my new favorite song. WOW is my second favorite.

IT'S THE NEVER ENDING GAME OF JEWEL QUEST

I CAN'T STOP

I drew another squid. With an eyepiece thing and a propellerylighty thingy.
Actually started it oh, uh, about a month or so ago, and then stopped when I was nearly done (like usual) and then picked it up again and finished it (like... unusual).

So, yes, I need to talk about last weekend because it was pretty awesome.
Trent and Caroline didn't have the kidface (visiting gramma's!) over the weekend, so we hung out both Friday AND Saturday.
The guys were working a little late on Friday, so Caroline came over and we ordered pizza and were eating it and watching Beauty and the Beast when Steve and Trent got in.
After that, we went the Forum Shops and wandered around for forever. First stop, of course, was FAO Schwarz. That's where I found the BEE SEAL. It was on sale for $16 so I got it. I carried it around for about half an hour while we walked around the store (they got rid of the third level... bleh!), which means a definite buy, because sometimes I carry something around for ten minutes and then decide against buying it and put it down somewhere.
More walking around the shops, lots of walking. Much thirst ensued, so we grabbed some overpriced refreshments. More walking. The shoes I was wearing were hurting my feet. D:
We made our way back out and then went to this Irish pub we like and had some drinks and nibbles and chatted and listened to the cover band playing (their version of "Hey Ya" was pretty amusing).
Saturday night, we wandered around The District and then went to PF Chang's for dinner, and it was quite excellent. Usually that place is kind of so-so, but everything was really good that night.
Back to the pub again for more of the same as Friday night, only this time there was a band accompanied by a woman doing that Irish stepdancing stuff. Pretty cool. Very percussive.
On the way back, we saw a kit fox, sitting in the middle of the road licking itself. Steve had to slow down the car to avoid hitting it, and it scampered off.
Really good weekend overall, even including the hours-long nap Steve and I took on Saturday. It IS pretty nice to do that from time to time. Sleeping just to sleep, mmm.
And now we have a three day weekend coming up. Hooray!

did I mention that I have a BEE SEAL?
yes. FAO Schwarz. Bee seals.
I am a little tipsy right now. Typing, squinting with one eye open.
Trent and Caroline rock!
I love Steve.
I saw some riverdancing tonight.
