The office holiday lunch was on Friday. Food from Claim Jumper, which I had to go pick up as they don't deliver (one person came along to help me, thankfully). There was a hiccup with the credit card--it was frozen due to fraudulent charges, and no one bothered to tell me as they assumed the card had been run immediately after I placed the order the previous week. Anyway, it was declined, and I called the administrator, and she gave me a different card number to work. Also, someone at CJ had misread the order and tried to give us spinach salad instead of spinach artichoke dip. The salad probably would have been better-that dip looked like parrot poop. Specifically, it looked like poop from about twenty cockatiel hens that had spent all day sitting on eggs.

The rest of the food was good, at least everything I sampled. I didn't eat any of that citrus salad because bleu cheese. I also didn't have a cupcake because by the time I got around to it, I wasn't hungry.

The secret Santa thing went well. Not everyone brought gifts to exchange, for various reasons, so one of the managers bought some extra gifts to make up for it. At first I ended up with a Christmas mug and sugar bowl set, but I traded with someone else for Skullcandy earbuds and mp3 player speakers, which are going to my little brother for Christmas and his birthday.

I also got a $200 bonus check, which totally made up for the various annoyances and extra work and the hauling-around-printers thing I had to deal with that day.

Soon, I will need a new plaid skirt because this one doesn't fit as well as it once did... it's getting on the loose side. :O Also, the footless tights (I know, I know, they ARE silly) I am wearing are size medium, as opposed to size lardolarge.

This has been a pretty dang relaxing morning. I've just been sitting out in the living room alone, listening to my ipod, and doing laundry. Mmm.

Christmas music.

Halloween will gradually die (like Thanksgiving) and then the door will be open for Christmas music/marketing to start promptly on July 5th. All of the Fourth of July stuff will already be on the clearance shelves on July 4th, and the Christmas stuff will be set up.

Pff.
